Updated Email Template Support Article - New Dynamic Field References!

New Brillium Dynamic Email template fields displayed
We recently released new email template designs for respondent results. Consequently, we deemed it a fitting opportunity to update our email template guidance through the 'How to Use and Customize Brillium Email Templates' support article.

Dynamic Fields enable the embedding of assessment data placeholders within email templates, and in some instances, the Feedback Summary screen. These placeholders are replaced by respondent and assessment data linked to a specific assessment attempt.

This update holds greater significance than mere paragraph adjustments. We have incorporated several new and more potent references to the email Dynamic Fields, which are available to all customers opting to customize their email communications.

New Topic Dynamic Fields

One of the key updates we've added was to detail the new Dynamic Fields for Topics. This include 2 new fields:

  1. [GROUP_##_EARNED] - This will display the Earned points for Question Topic identified by number (i.e. [GROUP_1_EARNED], [GROUP_2_EARNED], etc.)

  2. [GROUP_##_TOTAL] - This will display the total points available for the Question Topic identified by number (i.e. [GROUP_1_TOTAL], [GROUP_2_TOTAL], etc.)

While these fields may not appear on the Dynamic Field list located to the left of the email template body field, they can still be manually entered to display the pertinent data in any email template type that supports assessment result data.

New Question Tag Dynamic Fields

Another update was the addition of Dynamic Fields for Question Tags. This includes 3 new fields:

  1. [TAG(tag name)_EARNED] - Displays the question tag points earned (identified between the parenthesis) across all questions in the assessment attempt. The tag name can be upper or lower case.

  2. [TAG(tag name)_TOTAL] - Displays the total question tag points (identified between the parenthesis) are available across all questions in the assessment attempt. The tag name can be upper or lower case.

  3. [TAG(tag name)_SCORE] - Displays an integer value of the question tag percentage score (identified between the parenthesis) for the assessment attempt. This does not include the percentage sign (Ex: You scored [TAG(fruit)_SCORE] % on fruit questions.

Similar to the previous case, the Question Tag Dynamic Fields will not appear on the Dynamic Field list situated to the left of the email template body field. Nevertheless, they can be manually entered to exhibit the relevant data in any email template type that supports assessment result data.

NOTE: Since these Dynamic Fields do not include any titles or symbols (e.g., %), they are designed to display raw data and allow you to enter an appropriate label for your purposes within the email template body.
