While custom certificates can be designed to customer specifications, including the exact wording on the certificate itself, there are aspects of all certificates that can be changed by using Brillium's Assessment Language Editor, located under the Edit Account Configuration link on the Home screen of any Brillium account.
For example, if you don't care for the wording "This certifies that ..." on the standard certificate templates, you can easily change that to any text in your preferred language.
- From the Brillium home screen, select Edit Account Configuration to view the Account Configuration screen.
- From the Account Configuration screen select Edit Assessment Language.
- On the Edit Assessment Language page that follows, type "certifies" in the Search field (e.g. type a word you would like to change that already appears on the certificate). This helps us easily find the wording we'd like to change. On the right side of the screen, change the language to suit your preference. Note: The Edit Assessment Language screen is presented as a split screen; the left side shows the current text that will display; the right side shows the same text as the left but in an editable text area so that you can easily make changes.
- When you are finished with the above changes, click the Save & Done button at the bottom of the screen.
Test your changes by running a certificate report from the Report Center OR taking an assessment and viewing the certificate.
Notes and Caveats:
Some assessment language changes you make could take time to be reflected on the respondent screens for people currently completing assessments. You can force the system to refresh the cache by selecting Edit Default Settings on the Account Configuration screen, scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking Save.
When changing the assessment language, as described in the article, be aware that the language will apply to all assessments that reside within this account. Also know that these changes will only affect the current account, and other accounts will remain unaffected. This behavior is by design, so that you can configure each account with its own unique language settings.
Power Up Tip:
You can use HTML within the Assessment Language fields allowing you to create customized links, embed images and even embed video. If you use any HTML, please be sure to test your changes thoroughly as some changes may cause the respondent assessment interface to appear in an undesirable way. You can always reverse any changes you make by following the same steps shown in this article..
