Resources in Brillium refer to images, sounds, video, multimedia files, and other common document formats. The resources currently supported are images in the GIF, JPEG, or PNG format, Macromedia Flash (SWF files), Adobe Acrobat (PDF files), and Microsoft Office (DOC, XLS, PPT files).
The Resource Manager allows you to organize those elements into a tree-view using red folders, which are system generated and cannot be moved, renamed or deleted, and yellow folders.
To upload a resource, click the Select button found on the right-hand side of the screen. (You can also upload resources by clicking the Image Manager icon found within each rich text editor located throughout the entire Brillium authoring environment.) Once you locate the correct resource, click the Upload button. You can place the uploaded image wherever you want it by dragging-and-dropping it into the desired folder, red or yellow. To preview it, rename it, or delete it, simply right click the name, and select the appropriate action from the dropdown list that appears.
While you can store resources in red folders, yellow folders provide more organizational options as they can be moved, renamed, or deleted. Simply right click any yellow folder to perform one of these actions. You can also drag-and-drop yellow folders to move them to different locations, keeping in mind that security rights may prevent you from performing certain moves.
Warning: Moving, renaming, or deleting any resources or folders breaks the link that exists between them and any assessment on which they appear. If you do perform one of these actions, and you still want the resource to appear, you will need to re-link the resource to the assessment.
