Use this Wizard to search for text that exists anywhere within your content for the purpose of either displaying the location of that text or replacing it with other text.
Use the dropdown to specify the areas in which you wish to perform a search. The default setting is the active account to ensure that the Search & Replace covers every assessment within the account; however, you can limit the search to an individual assessment within the account by selecting it from the dropdown.
Enter the text you wish to locate and/or replace.
Select as few or as many fields as you wish. Only the fields selected will be scanned for the text that was entered in the Search For field.
Choose “Match Case” to make your search case-sensitive, the affect being that if you enter “Email” with an upper-case "E" in the Search For field, for example, then “email” with a lower-case “e” will not appear as a search result. Choose "Match Whole Word" to only search for whole words, the affect being that if you enter "exam" in the Search For field, for example, then "examination" will not appear as a search result. To conduct a more complex search you may choose Regular Expression, but you should only do so if you are familiar with that technology.
Once you have constructed the search you wish to perform, click the Next Step button to proceed to the next page of the Wizard. If no results match your search, you will remain on the current page and a "no occurrences" message will appear right below the breadcrumb trail. Otherwise, you will be brought to the next page of the Wizard where you can review the search results and/or execute a replacement.
